A Winchester restaurant has been awarded a new food hygiene rating of four out of five.
As previously reported, Gandhi Indian Restaurant in 163-164 High Street was scored a food hygiene rating of one, meaning major improvements necessary, after an assessment by the Food Standard's Agency on February 8.
However, after a revisit on March 31, the restaurant was given a new score of four.
Health protection manager at Winchester City Council, Mike Greenwood said: "I inspected [Gandhi Restaurant] yesterday and they have now been awarded a rating of four.
"It should show on the food hygiene rating scheme website by Monday afternoon."
