Winchester Rotary has matched city resident’s generosity after raising thousands during a High Street collection.
Members of the club took to Winchester High Street on Sunday, March 13 in a bid to gather funds for the Ukraine Appeal.
Thanks to the generosity of the Winchester public, £3,000 was raised - £2,000 of which came via street donations and a further £1,000 was given online.

This will be matched from the club’s charitable funds, meaning £6,000 is going to the Rotary Foundation UK Disaster Response Fund, earmarked until April 30 specifically for Ukraine.
Rotary members have said If needed, a further event will be organised - but online donations can continue to be made at: cafdonate.cafonline.org/19995.
