A complex meteorological set-up is on the weather menu during the week ahead.
However, one thing for certain is that all parts of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight will experience rain in one form or another as we go through the forecast period. At the time of compiling the prospects for the coming week it is difficult to be too precise but my view is that until Sunday at least, generally mild conditions for the time of year are likely to prevail. However, the downside is an increasing risk of showers or perhaps more general rain is possible as North Atlantic low pressure systems along with accompanying weather fronts head into the British Isles. How far east these weather systems will get is uncertain, but if they do reach central-southern England, some windy conditions are possible for a time in our neck of the woods.
Now some good news I expect, a large anticyclone over Scandinavia to build westwards across the North Sea early next week and this will prevent rain-bearing Atlantic weather fronts trying to push across Britain. This will herald the arrival of some decent dry weather and more springlike temperatures at times but I cannot rule out a few showers here and there.
Daily maximum temperatures could hit the 16C mark or possibly higher on the warmest days.
Little if any frost is expected during the outlook period.
