Police have stepped up patrols after a stranger approached a child outside a Hampshire primary school.
The incident happened in St Vigor Way on Thursday morning while the child was on their way to Colden Common Primary School, in Upper Moors Road.
The school sent out an alert to parents on Thursday urging them to 'be vigilant' and calling for extra PCSO presence.
Police have since confirmed PCSO patrols have been upped, with an officer from Winchester monitoring in the area this morning.
