Hampshire police are hunting Rupert James who is wanted for a recall to prison.
James has links to Basingstoke and Aldershot, but also over the county border in Ash, Surrey.
Officers say they have carried out extensive enquiries to locate the 51-year-old, who has breached his licence, but are now turning to the public for help in finding him.
The force has warned anyone found harbouring James to 'deliberately obstruct' their attempts to locate him may also be liable for arrest.
