A MAN from Winchester has been banned from driving for 28 days and fined hundreds of pounds after he was caught with defective tyres.
Daniel Marriott, of Cadgwith, Helston, was charged with using a passenger vehicle with tyres with insufficient tread - less than 1.6mm.
The 33-year-old, who is originally from Winchester, was caught on Monument Road, Helston, Cornwall, in a Skoda on September 19.

His car was also found to have not every rear lamp in good working order, but no separate penalty was given for this charge.
His case appeared at Bodmin Magistrates' Court on March 7.
He was fined £440, and told to pay a victim surcharge of £44 and costs of £90, which he must pay by April 4.
He was also disqualified from driving for 28 days.
