Hursley Parish Council chair David Killeen said: “Our Hursley farmers and residents were out in force on Friday along with Hampshire County Council to keep our roads open.
“Many thanks to George Rees, Sam Burge, Nick Russell and Barry Steele and their teams who worked tirelessly to clear the trees. Thanks also to the residents who helped with saws and axes. Great teamwork in action.”
The roads they helped to clear included Merdon Castle Lane, Bunstead Lane, Sparsholt Road, Heathcote Place and Main Road.
