Assessor Kate Bennett said: “The Kingsmead team demonstrated what a committed, hardworking, caring nursery it runs. They fulfilled all the criteria and provided evidence to support this, every single floor book was clear and concise, showcasing the nursery to the highest standard.
“The team builds parent partnerships and adapted to Covid with Zoom calls and Zoom performances. In particular, I loved the cosy corners for literacy, the cookery lessons and the Kinsgmead recipe book; the real life art, blossom oil painting, space small world play and mini beast world.
“What comes across is how dedicated the staff are, always nurturing and caring for the children as well as each other, they really do encourage staff wellbeing and it shows.”
Emily Hancock, managing director at Kingsmead Day Nursery, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the Platinum #JustQuality Award and I would like to thank and congratulate all members of our hard-working team for making this happen.
“Kingsmead started the Platinum Early Years accreditation around 18 months ago and every part of our business was scrutinised, such as how effective our parent communication is, our curriculum, and how we are impacting the mental and physical wellbeing of both staff and children. The report said it was one of the best accreditations they had marked, so we are very happy with that!”
