Winchester landmarks were lit up over the weekend as the city attempts to beat the post-Christmas blues with its festival of light.

Winchester – Lights in the City started on Saturday (January 30) and is running until February 6.

People enjoyed the giant tulip illuminations in Abbey Garden on The Broadway which were lit up in vivid red and green.

The theme of the event is ‘Winter into Spring’ and coloured lights will show the changing of the seasons as visitors follow the lights through the centre.
