WINCHESTER'S motorists will have 17 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 14 closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
- A34, from 3pm December 8 2021 to 6am January 3 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Kings Worthy, 24/7 lane closures and 40mph speed limit for emergency bridge repairs.
- M3, from 9pm December 11 2020 to 6am January 12 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 9, slip road closure for M3 Smart Motorways, diversion via National Highways network.
- M27, from 9pm October 6 2020 to 6am January 13 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 9, slip road closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.
- M3, from 9pm November 17 2020 to 6am January 15 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 12, slip road closures for M3 Smart Motorways, diversion via National Highways network.
- M3, from 8pm November 29 2021 to 6am January 15 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound and southbound, junction 7, Lane closures for technology works.
- M3, from 9pm November 23 2020 to 6am January 22 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 11, slip road closures for M3 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.
- M27, from 8pm October 6 2020 to 6am January 24 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 8 to junction 9, Lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways.
- M27, from 9pm November 26 2020 to 6am February 3 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 9, slip road closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.
- M27, from 9pm October 19 2020 to 6am February 11 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 9, slip road and lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network.
- M27, from 6am January 3 2019 to 6am April 1 2022, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 5 to 4 narrow lanes 50 mph for smart motorways.
- M27, from 8pm November 1 2021 to 6am April 30 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound and westbound, junction 4 to junction 12, Lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways.
- M27, from 6am November 8 2021 to 6am May 19 2024, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound and southbound, junction 9 to 14, Narrow lanes and 50mph for M3 Smart Motorways.
- And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:
- M3, from 8pm January 6 to 6am January 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound and southbound, junction 9 to Winchester Services, Lane closures for drainage works.
- M3, from 8pm January 10 to 6am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound and southbound, junction 10, Lane closures for signage works.
- A34, from 8pm January 11 to 6am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Bullington Cross to Three Maids Hill, Lane closure on exit slip road for SSE street lighting works.
- A303, from 8pm January 15 to 6am January 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound and southbound, junction 8 to 9, carriageway closures for major horticulture works, diversion route via National Highways network.
