A REAL mixed bag of ingredients are on the weather menu during the coming days.
We can all expect wet and perhaps windy conditions at times. These will be interspersed with brighter and drier periods.
Christmas day and boxing day look set to be unsettled with showers or more general rain developing as Atlantic low pressure systems and associated weather fronts slam into the British Isles.
However, on the plus side, it will be generally mild for the time of year in our neck of the woods.
In any brighter and cooler spells that turn up, expect to see overnight frosts along with mist and fog patches.
January will start with more Atlantic depressions heading in our direction.
