A MIXED bag of ingredients are on the meteorological menu during this forecast period as a topsy-turvy spell of weather hits our shores.
For Hampshire and the island, expect a few short lived cold snaps and some slightly milder conditions between them.
In more detail, during the next few days I am predicting generally chilly weather with the threat of showery rain, sleet or perhaps snow developing.
However, if any white stuff does materialise, it will be mostly over high ground in Hampshire.
Stormy conditions are possible for a time early next week .
Now for the good news. Some decent dry weather is likely on days when transient high pressure ridges cross our patch next week but further showery conditions cannot be ruled out and some of the precipitation may be prolonged at times.
A few air frosts can be expected on the coldest nights-particluarly out in the sticks along with mist and patcy fog in river valleys.
