Winchester residents recently said goodbye to their popular postman after his final day on the job.
On November 17, St Faith's residents came together to say a big ‘thank you’ to Ian Ruddle, who had been their postman for the last 17 years.
Ian is going to be moving to Saskatoon in Canada, to join his wife Lisa who is originally from the area. Temperatures there can reach minus 40 degrees.
With this in mind, he was presented with a Thermos flask by Jamie Brooks, on behalf of the neighbours, and many cards of appreciation and further gifts.
He will be missed, with many agreeing that he is the finest postman they’d ever had the pleasure of knowing.
