THIS would be a highly unusual re-homing project and the chance to preserve a piece of police history.
A former Sussex Police Mobile Incident Room has languished for some 25 years in a Four Marks orchard, desperately needing renovation.
It was built in the 1960s by Rollalong of Basingstoke for use by Sussex Police at major events such as the party conferences in Brighton, Goodwood Races, the London to Brighton veteran car runs, public order disturbances such as the Mods and Rockers confrontations, and major crime scenes.
Constructed to a high specification it comprises a galley kitchen at one end, an area for meetings with bench seating and a map table still with some maps, and at the other end a small office. Some Police equipment is still in place.
Owner Robert Brodrick says it would make a perfect place for Police memorabilia enthusiasts to display their collections of badges and uniforms.
Sadly the trailer had been unused for the last 20 years. It will require a lot of work to make it roadworthy, or alternatively it could be transported on a low loader. If you are interested in saving this piece of police history, then Robert Broderick is open to offers and would love to hear from you. Contact him on 01962 773396.

While some people have faeries at the bottom of the garden, we have an ex-Sussex Police 1960s mobile Police station. Unfortunately it proved less mobile than anticipated and has therefore resided in our orchard for 25 years slowly deteriorating. I am very keen that it should be lovingly restored but have failed to find anyone interested in such a project.
I would be extremely grateful if you could run a piece on this "amazing opportunity", hopefully with photos. I would of course supply suitable copy, with history of the vehicle. It would be brilliant if this resulted in finding someone prepared to undertake this challenge. It would be the perfect place for collectors of police uniforms and memorabilia to display their collections.
