l Highways England has announced a notice of consultation for major changes at junction 9 of the M3 at Winnall.

The scheme is intended to reduce congestion and improve journeys between the M3 and the A34.

These include widening the motorway into four lanes; rearranging the junction roundabout; three new bridges and other structures including new underpasses; revised walking and cycling routes; new connecting roads and improved slip roads.

Under section 47 of the Planning Act 2008 the agency has announced a public consultation with a Statement of Community Consultation.

The scheme can be viewed on website: www.highwaysengland.co.uk/m3junction9. The consultation runs from Thursday May 27 to Thursday July 8.

Draft Braishfield Revised Village Design Statement. A revised Village Design Statement (VDS) to provide updated design guidance for the parish has been prepared. If and when this document is adopted as a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) by Test Valley Borough Council, it will form part of the Local Development Frameworks (LDF) for that area. The LDF forms the basis for decisions on land-use planning affecting that area.
