AN ELDERLY lady with a list of health problems died at home, an inquest heard.
Yvonne Doreen Middleton, 74, was found at her Hillside Close flat, Chandler's Ford on April 29.
Area coroner Jason Pegg believes that she accidentally fell and "struck her head", causing a bleed on the brain.
In a post mortem report, Dr Adnan Al-Badri states this as the cause of death, with atrial fibrillation and valvular heart disease contributing.
Ms Middleton had also been battling skin cancer, and had been prescribed warfarin – a blood thinning medicine.
In a statement, Lee Middleton said that his mother moved to New Zealand in the 1970s and enjoyed being active outdoors.
Her address in Chandler's Ford was part of a retirement housing complex.
The manager of the estate tried to contact Ms Middleton two days in a row but had no luck. Police were called to her property.
Jason Pegg concluded the inquest as an accidental death at Winchester Coroner's Court.
