TRAVELLERS have set up camp in Romsey, police have confirmed.
The force was alerted to the unauthorised encampment at 8.45pm on Wednesday after the group was spotted at Romsey Rapids Sports Complex, Southampton Road.
It is believed seven caravans with 14 people are onsite, according to deputy leader of Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC), Cllr Nick Adams-King.
He added the council is expecting to evict the group on Saturday.
