THE most recognisable steam train is set to once again steam through the Hampshire countryside this spring.
Trainspotters will be able to capture a glimpse of the world-famous Flying Scotsman as it passes through stations across Hampshire.
The Flying Scotsman will complete a countryside tour on May 27 from Salisbury Station, which has already sold out.
Another two tours have been booked for June 6.
This journey will depart from Southampton at 2.30pm beginning with views of Southampton docks and the Solent.
The locomotive will then travel along the Itchen River to Eastleigh before making its way to Winchester and into the South Downs.
It is also set to pass Salisbury. Tickets start at £79.
The second journey will see the Flying Scotsman make a return journey from London to Southampton, where it will stop in Winchester.
The train will leave London Paddington at 9.50am and arrive in Winchester at around 12pm, before moving onto Southampton where it should arrive at 12.20pm.
There are three types of tickets to purchase: Premium Standard (£119), Premier Dining (£219), and Pullman Style Dining (£289).
Dining passengers will be served a Full English Breakfast on the outward journey and a two course meal on the return journey.
