A PHONE pest who plagues the police with bogus 999 calls has been given six months to stop offending.
Anthony John Walters, 57, repeatedly phoned the police when it is not an emergency, a court heard.
Walters, of St John's Road, St Giles Hill, Winchester, admitted seven offences of calling 999 when banned by a criminal behaviour order passed in April 2019.
The offences were committed last year on April 7, May 15, June 9 (twice), June 10, July 3 and July 13, Basingstoke Magistrates Court was told.
Magistrates deferred sentence until July 8 but told Walters they had the expectation that he would not offend again, seek psychiatric and/or medical help and show evidence that he had done so.
