A 77-year-old man from a village near Winchester died as a result multiple health conditions and a series of falls, an inquest has heard.
Christopher John Dean, of Queen Street, Twyford, suffered from prostate cancer and high blood pressure.
The inquest in Winchester heard the retired accountant suffered a fall at home on April 6 2020 which resulted in a traumatic brain injury.
He was discharged to respite care but suffered another fall on May 31, fracturing his left hip.
Mr Dean then underwent a hip operation at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital after which he contracted pneumonia.
He died at Alton Community Hospital on July 14 2020.
Coroner Rosamund Rhodes-Kemp returned a verdict of 'accidental death' stemming from the combination of the falls and Mr Dean's underlying health conditions.
She expressed her sympathies to Mr Dean's widow Jackie, who was not present at the inquest.
