A DRESS agency "in the heart of Romsey's fashion district" has opened its doors to the public in time for the festive season.
After shutting in February, the former shoe shop Anya at 23 Bell Street has been transformed into Change of A Dress.
The agency will even give customers the chance to rent evening wear and prom dresses through The Frock Shop, which operates within Change of A Dress.
Team leader at Change of A Dress, Ali Galvin, said the team is "pleased and excited to open Romsey's only independent, boutique clothes agency in the heart of Romsey's fashion district".
Ali, who has 27 years of experience in the industry, said: "In these Covid times when many stores are sadly closing, we are delighted to be able to offer the discerning shoppers of Romsey and surrounding areas the opportunity to buy ethically and sustainably with our huge range of nearly new clothing, and also to sell unwanted items of clothing and accessories on a 50/50 basis.
"In addition to the dress agency, The Frock Shop which operates within Change of A Dress, specialises in hiring exquisite evening wear and prom dresses."
She added: "The opening was very well supported by many local people including the future mayor of Romsey, Karen Dunleavey, and the very famous Lawrie McMenemy - we are grateful to them all."
The agency opened on October 16 and will be serving customers from 10am to 4.30pm from Monday to Saturday, while on Sunday it will trade from 11am to 3pm.
As reported, Anya, which ran for nine years, closed its doors for the final time due to the "lease coming to an end".
A sign in the shop window at the time read: "I would like to announce that after nine happy years in Romsey, Anya shoes will close its doors for the last time in February.
"The shop's lease has come to an end and I feel it's time for me to concentrate more on my two shops in Haslemere, Surrey.
"It's been a huge pleasure to have served so many lovely customers."
