A WINCHESTER man is cycling 170 km a day to reach the French Alps from a Greek island.
Andy Pickett and Max Vaughton set off from Zakynthos on September 25 to begin the 2,400km ride.
Both were working during the summer on the island and decided to cycle home to raise money for the Ellie Soutter Foundation.
The charity supports young winter sport enthusiasts following the death of Ellie Soutter, a Team GB athlete, at the young age of 18.
Andy and Max are cycling up to 170km a day, carrying their own camping equipment and resources.
