COLDEN Common Speedwatch group could be disbanded if noone volunteers to run it.
Current leader Richard Saunders says that he has been "defeated" by police bureaucracy.
He is stepping down from his role and says that could mark the end of the group altogether.
"The village Speedwatch group has been running for some ten years now, either under the auspices of Penny Smith from Twyford, or myself," he said.
"I’m afraid that battling the ever-more-complicated machinations of the police bureaucracy has finally defeated me. No one else in the current group wishes to take it on either.
"Is anyone in the village willing to do this? If no one is, I’m afraid that the Speedwatch group will have to be disbanded."
