A MAN has died after crashing his car into a tree.
A 62-year-old man has died following a serious crash on the Winchester Road near Upham.
He had been driving a Grey Nissan Leaf when it swerved off the B2177 and crashed.
Despite the best efforts of the ambulance crew, he was pronounced dead at the scene during the incident just after 6am on Saturday, May 30.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Police have now launched a witness appeal.
A police spokesperson said: "We are investigating the exact circumstances of the collision and are keen to speak to anyone with information.
Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you saw the vehicle in the run-up to the collision?"
