CHILDREN have taken to stages this month to perform the Nativity story.
The ancient tale has been performed by infant and primary schools alike to commemorate the birth of Jesus and to celebrate the festive season.
The tale has been performed in both traditional and secular forms to proud friends and families for decades.
And from shepherds and angels to adorable little stars, youngsters at schools across Winchester and the district have been busy with rehearsals and productions.
And this year’s crop of colourful photos prove that the wealth of talent in schools across the area is no exception to the rule.
The imaginative backdrops and sturdy wooden mangers are testament to the energy and enthusiasm of teaching staff and are much appreciated by the junior casts, judging from their glowing faces and gleeful postures.
