THE cathedral was alive with the sound of music as hundreds gathered for this year’s carol concert.
TV star Hugh Dennis and South Today’s Sally Taylor joined The Dean of Winchester, the Very Rev Catherine Ogle for the festive event.
Hugh offered amusing observations on the ups and downs of family life at Christmas time, whilst Sally joined the Cathedral Choir for performances of traditional carols.
Very Rev’d Catherine Ogle said: “The Cathedral Christmas Concert offers a panoply of stars to delight and to entertain us with the joyful spirit of Christmas. The concert is a very important fund-raising event for the Cathedral choir, thank you for your support.”
