TV CHEF and food writer, Tamasin Day-Lewis, will be visiting Chawton on Thursday, November 15, for a special occasion at Chawton House Library.
The evening starts at 6.30pm with a reception at Chawton House with wine and canapés, when Tamasin will be signing copies of her books.
This will be followed by a talk about her latest book, Where Shall We Go For Dinner? A Food Romance.
This book is about a year of travel and culinary discovery, part memoir, part love story, but the glue that holds it together is a shared passion for food. The talk will be followed by a special two-course supper, attended by Tamasin herself and featuring recipes from her cookery books.
Tickets are available for £15 for the reception and talk, and £50 for the reception, talk and supper. Those wishing to join the supper are advised to book early.
All profits from this evening will go to Chawton House Library's organic gardening project for schools, teaching children how to grow their own fruit and vegetables in the Walled Garden at Chawton House. Tamasin is a Patron of this project.
