A MEDICAL supplier to the NHS based in Alresford insists there will be minimal disruption to supply chains after the United Kingdom leaves the European Union.

Bosses at Omnimed Ltd, who provide endoscopic equipment and accessories to both NHS and private hospitals, said as their products are manufactured in Asia, the impact of trade arrangements following Brexit will be less severe for the firm than if they dealt with European providers.

Managing director Michael Morris has personally visited the production facilities to follow the supply chain first hand.

Mr Morris said: "With so many valid concerns around how Brexit will affect our NHS, I'm very happy to have full confidence in reassuring all our NHS hospitals that leaving the EU with or without a trade deal will have minimal impact on Omnimed's ability to continue supplying great value, high quality endoscopic equipment and accessories."

The independent company was founded in 2008, while Mr Morris holds 40 years of experience in the medical equipment industry.

Omnimed work to ensure their services meet the news of the healthcare profession, with training included with all products.

The business has grown in stature since its inception and regularly attends Medica, the world's largest medical expo and trade show, which is held annually in Germany.
