Man convicted of theft of generator but cleared of burglary
A CHARGE of burglary against a Test Valley man at a pub in Stockbridge has been withdrawn.
Paul Joseph Tickle, 58, of Dixons Lane, Broughton, was accused of burgling the Three Cups Inn on High Street on March 4.
But the allegation was withdrawn at Basingstoke Magistrates Court and replaced with a charge of stealing a generator belonging to Lucia Tickle.
The magistrates imposed a restraining order banning him from contacting Ms Tickle or to go to the Three Cups Inn until April 9 2021.
They also fined him £875 with an £87 victim surcharge and costs of £85.
