TEST Valley villager has been disqualified for drink driving near his home.
Peter Nigel Beckley, 61, of Romsey Road, Broughton, was caught whilst over the legal limit on March 8, magistrates heard.
Beckley was stopped in a 02-reg Skoda on Romsey Road, Broughton. His alcohol reading was 44 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35. He admitted the offence.
Magistrates fined him £500, with a £50 victim surcharge and £85 costs. He was banned for three years. The ban will be cut if he passes an approved course by April 24 2021.
