THE inquest has opened into the death of a motorcyclist killed near Alresford.

Steven Rayner, 53, of Northwood Park, Sparsholt was killed in a collision on the A31 near Ovington on Wednesday July 4.

Mr Rayner, a married father of two, was a successful civil engineer, a director WSP consultants.

The hearing in Winchester was due to be resumed on January 17 2019.

The funeral will take place at on Wednesday August 8 at 2pm in the Long Barrow Ceremony Hall at Harbour View Crematorium and Woodland Burial Ground, Lytchett Minister, Poole, Dorset.
