TWO Winchester students have been crowned winners of a county-wide modelling contest and could go on to join the same modelling agency as Kate Moss.
Alex Ward, a student at Peter Symonds' College and Brooke Sessions, a pupil at Kings' School beat tough competition on Monday (July 3) from more than 100 other hopefuls to win the Face of Hampshire competition and the chance to appear on Storm modelling agency's books.
Brooke, who is 14, said: "I was absolutely speechless when they called my name. I'm so happy, it's a dream come true.
"Everything I've ever wanted has come down to tonight and I can't believe I've won."
Alex, 18, added: "It hasn't quite sunk in yet, at the moment it's quite surreal but when it sinks in it'll be absolutely fantastic."
Both have won the chance of a modelling contract with top agency, Storm, which represents the likes of Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford and Lily Cole.
Like Lily Cole, who is currently the face of Accessorize, they both said they wanted to juggle their new-found modelling careers with their education.
Alex, from Chandler's Ford, said he wanted to take a year out to travel and model before going to university to study medicine. Brooke, from Romsey, said she also wanted to go to university after completing her GCSEs and A-levels.
The Face of Hampshire competition, run by XS Events and Toni & Guy Winchester, saw more than 100 wannabe models send in their photos for scrutiny. Around 60 boys and 60 girls battled it out on the catwalk at Bar3One last month in the live heats and just 20 made it through to the final, held at The Theatre Royal, Winchester, on Monday.
