A HAMPSHIRE music festival has been cancelled because organisers say it can't compete with a newly-announced Craig David show.
Pulse on the Farm 2017, which was scheduled to be held on September 1-3 at Berkeley Farm, near Durley, has been called off following the news that Craig David will play at the Ageas Bowl on September 1.
The website for Pulse on the Farm has been taken down and replaced by a message explaining how ticket holders can get refunds.
A message on the festival's Facebook site says: "We have taken the decision to cancel this years Pulse as we feel that this would have a huge affect on us particularly because of the traffic implications and as many people know when an event is held at the Ageas Bowl the traffic is horrendous and hugely affects surrounding areas in and around Hedge End.
"This in turn would have a big effect on our walk up and day tickets which is a BIG part of our income and we feel this would have a negative effect on the weekend planned.
"If we didn't think that the traffic issues would affect us in any way then it would be a different story and we would carry on as normal.
"It's a very sad decision for us to have to make as we love what we do but it seems popularity and money win on this occasion.
"All tickets will be refunded and the website will stay open with an email link for ticket refunds."
