AN off road charity bike ride which had attracted more than 650 mountain bikers this weekend has been postponed due to heavy rain and flooding.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) South Downs Randonnée, was due to start on Saturday (June 30) at 7am from Hampshire County Council sports ground at Chilcomb, near Winchester.
It has been rescheduled for Saturday July 28.
The mountain bikers will ride challenges of either 35, 65 or 100 miles across the South Downs Way to either Devils Dyke, near Brighton or University of Brighton sports centre, Denton Road, Eastbourne.
Event organiser Tacye Blest said all entrants have been informed.
