SIR - Roadworks at the junction of Main Road and Spring Lane, Colden Common, have been in progress for the last three weeks.
On day one, the workers coned off an area, inserted traffic lights, and work commenced.
In the last two weeks the work has stopped, a hole left in the footpath, traffic lights in situ, but no workers. In that time the lights have jammed in the red position twice, causing yet more delays and frustration.
This is a very busy road through the village and these delays being brought to the motorists and local buses should be avoided.
It is bad enough having roadworks, but to have a hole left in the footpath, fenced off in the road, and three-way lights with no work in progress, is unacceptable.
I am not sure what utility company is causing this delay, or whoever gave them permission to carry on like this.
I know this is not the only roadworks being carried out in this way.
