MEG Jones returned home on Wednesday just two weeks after undergoing brain surgery in America.
Meg, 21, was due to stay in the US until the end of the month, but decided to fly home early after amazing doctors, family and friends with her rapid recovery.
She underwent an eight-hour operation to remove a brain tumour at Boston Children's Hospital on June 6, and was already smiling hours after the operation.
Three days later she was discharged to her bed and breakfast, where she was back on her feet and able to go for short walks.
She was declared fit to fly earlier this week, and decided, along with her family, that she would like to continue her recovery at her home in King's Somborne.
Although her vision is still said to be "wobbly", and she needs plenty of sleep and regular medication, she is not expected to need any further treatment.
Close friend, Sian Carter, said: "I think we're all just looking forward to having her home now - though I think Meg would have liked to stay a little bit just to get some more Boston-style shopping in!"
l Arcana hair and beauty salon in Jewry Street is offering free nail treatments next Tuesday (June 26) from 4 to 7pm, and giving donations to Brainstrust.
