Hursley Park (153) lost to Havant (259-6 dec).
In their first all day game of the season a valiant rearguard action led by Paul Edwards just failed to gain a draw. There were only ten balls left when the final wicket fell to give Havant victory.
Jimmy Taylor asked Havant to bat first and Darrell Steele made an early breakthrough - Dave Jackson diving forward at square leg to take the catch.
Lawrie Prittipaul proceeded to hit the ball to all parts and looked in imperious form until after reaching his half century he skied the ball to Darrell Steele.
Steele then quickly removed Stuart Ransley but Brendan Mills and Will Prozesky moved the total to 120 before Mills was caught behind for 47.
Richard Hindley came next and immediately stamped his authority on to the game. His 77 came at nearly a run a ball and he took the game away from Hursley. A brief flurry at the close saw Havant declare at 259 for 6 after 62 overs; Oli Green taking 3-75 from 21 overs.
In reply, Raman Prendergast and Phil Hughes started steadily and had reached 38 before Prendergast (18) edged to slip.
Hughes (20) followed in like manner soon after and Dave Jackson and Jimmy Taylor had to rebuild.
Some forcing drives from Jackson kept the board ticking over and they had added 50 when Taylor sliced to point for 20.
Jackson went next for 30, including four 4s and a six. Scott Mills and Ben Smyth were both dismissed on the same total as the visitors slumped to 95 for 6.
Paul Davies joined Paul Edwards and the defiance began. With spinners bowling to close infields the overs ticked by. The pair survived for 18 overs before Davies was taken at leg slip for 21.
Edwards remained entrenched at the other end as Oli Green joined him for another 12 overs before being bowled. Edwards' long vigil came to an end after 147 balls when he was trapped in front.
The final wicket fell in the next over as Havant would have bowled an astonishing 25 overs in the last hour.
Hursley Pk II (117) lost to Hartley Wintney (236-9).
The Hursley Park 2nds batting failed once again as the home side were dismissed for a meagre 117.
Earlier, after a reasonable start, dropped catches proved costly and Hartley Wintney were allowed to escape from a shaky 123 for 5 to post a challenging total; Will Evans 3-32 was the pick of the Hursley bowling.
However none of the batsmen could play a commanding innings with only Charlie Prendergast and Robbie Craddock reaching 20.
Hursley 3rd XI lost their 100 per cent record and top spot in North Regional Div 1 when they were beaten by 27 runs in the local derby against IBM Hursley at the Quarters.
IBM skipper Steve Chandler top scored with 71 as his team reached 178 for 8, with three wickets apiece for Dan George and Harry Warren.
In reply, Hursley started well with Steve Cockram (38) and Steve Jones (22) in the runs. But wickets fell at regular intervals and they were eventually dismissed for 151.
Hursley's 4th XI knocked league leaders Medstead off their perch with a 32-run away victory in Division 3 North East.
Newcomer Nick Priddle top scored with 48 as Hursley accumulated a total of 182 for 9 on a slow wicket. Miles Holden (45) and Dave Wilson (29) gave good support while home skipper Pete Cunnam captured 4-42 with his leg breaks.
In reply, the hosts were always struggling against steady bowling and good fielding. Anton George (5-36) clean bowled four of his victims while Priddle (4-22) completed a successful debut as Medstead suffered their first defeat in five games.
Prolific opener Dave Gresham batted through for an unbeaten 85 as his side were dismissed for 150.
