Southern Premier Division 3.
Old Tauntonians & Romsey piled up a massive 301 for 7 at Sparsholt - only to see their unblemished Southern Electric Premier League, Division 3 record shattered in a remarkable evening run chase.
When Charles Forward, Stu Shapland, Keith Trodd and Nick DeStefano all notched half-centuries, second placed OTR were sitting pretty at tea.
But OTs' confidence began to ebb away when Tom Viljoen and Mark Cansdale (37) provided Sparsholt with an 89-run launch pad.
It was Viljoen's third-wicket stand of 156 with skipper Andy Heyes, which really fuelled Sparsholt's run chase.
Viljoen eventually fell to Shapland (2-76), but none of the young OTR bowler was able to prevent Hayes scoring a match winning 113 not out.
