POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Winchester.
The crime happened near the old fire station on North Walls between 3am and 3.15am on Sunday, November 3.
A 16-year-old boy was approached from behind and the offender tried to steal his bag.
The would-be robber then walked off towards Wales Street.
The offender is described as white, of muscular build and wearing a hooded top.
Anyone with information should contact PC Jasmine Connolly at Winchester police station by phoning 101.
