VILLAGERS in the Candover Valley are angry that they are without phone and internet connections more than a week after the storm.
The worst affected are Brown Candover, Chilton Candover and Totford, north of Alresford, said local resident Jonathan Moseley.
He said BT had told them that the earliest they would be back is Friday, November 8. Around 100-150 homes are thought to be affected.
The problem is thought to have been caused by a tree falling in Brown Candover. It also took out the electricity but that was quickly restored.
Mr Moseley said: “We are disappointed by the response of BT to the storm damage on Sunday October 27. Many small businesses and local residents are dependent on internet access these days. Telephones are our lifeblood. There is little sign of urgency.”
BT was asked for comment but had not replied.
