THE producer of the film Private Peaceful, Guy de Beaujeau, is lending his support to a screening in Winchester of his film in aid of Combat Stress.
A charity reception and screening of the film based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo, the author of War Horse is being held on Monday November 11.
Local dignitaries will be attending the reception with food and wine at the Ashburton Hall at 7pm and then at the Everyman Cinema at 8.30pm.
There will also be an auction of promises which includes a variety of treats including a spa day for two and a mini break in Cornwall.
Combat Stress was founded in 1919 and is the UK’s leading charity specialising in the care of veterans’ mental health. The charity has supported almost 100,000 ex-servicemen and women of every campaign that British Forces have been involved with since World War One.
