HAMPSHIRE fire fighters have praised Hampshire residents for their patience during the strikes that were held on Friday and today.
Members of the Fire Brigades Union are campaigning over proposed changes to retirement age and pension schemes.
During the strikes, over 40 appliances were made available to respond to emergencies and crews were able to maintain their 20-minute response time across the county.
Further action today between 6-8am saw the six firefighters on shift at the Easton Lane station leave work for two hours.
