A CURBRIDGE company specialising in state-of-the-art aviation technology opened its doors to a Winchester MP last week.

Meon Valley MP George Hollingbery visited Sky Circuits near Whiteley on Friday (October 18) which currently develops autopilots for unmanned aircrafts.

Owned by Dr Matt Bennett, the company is most noted for its work in helping with the search for now deceased Welsh schoolgirl, April Jones.

Mr Hollingbery said: “This sort of company really is the future for Britain's economy, a high-tech business at the forefront of the race we are in with our competitors.”

"The owner of the business, Dr Matt Bennett, is already collaborating with a company in Salisbury to ensure his products capture a bigger market. He is also exporting to emerging countries like South Korea and Brazil but he told me he is frustrated about the level of red tape involved.

"If Britain is to compete in big international markets then this sort of difficulty needs to be looked out by the Government."

The company employs four people and works to install autopilots in unmanned aerial vehicles.
