WINCHESTER MP Steve Brine has organised an open meeting for rail users to question the boss of South West Trains.
Mr Brine has arranged for Tim Shoveller, managing director of SWT and the Network Rail Alliance, to answer questions from the public on Thursday November 14 at 7.30pm in a central Winchester location, to be announced.
The MP said: “Each week, thousands of my constituents, including me, board the train and commute up and down the line, and my postbag is never quiet on railway issues.
“I hope the open meeting provides an opportunity for us to discuss in the round a wide range of issues and for rail users to ask whatever they like.”
Mr Shoveller said: “It's always great to get first hand feedback from our customers on the services we offer. The frequent sessions we host at our stations prove that our customers also find them very valuable.
“Our railway plays a crucial role in the lives of many people and the economic success of the region and it is therefore really important that we are able to explain our future plans for development and even further improvement. I look forward to meeting customers in Winchester and having an opportunity to debate the important issues.”
The event is free but you need to register in order to manage the event safely via www.stevebrine.com/askswt or by calling 01962 791110.
