THE SOUTH Central Ambulance Service is calling for members of the public to stand as appointed governors.
Ten positions will be filled across the south; with four residents for Hampshire, two for Berkshire, two for Buckinghamshire and two for Oxford.
Trevor Jones, chairman of South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Our Council of Governors is the voice of local people helping to set the strategic direction of the trust, based on members' views, and holding the trust board to account.
“The current Council works well but is determined to continue to improve and we are looking for new governors to add new skills and knowledge to the mix. As a governor you will play an active part in your local ambulance service, represent your local community and learn new skills.”
The closing date for nominations is Thursday, October 31. To be eligible you must be aged 16 years or over and a resident in the county to be represented.
