WINCHESTER business directors dug deep into their pockets to raise funds for charity at this month’s curry club.
Over thirty businesses from across the district gathered together at Balaka, on Stoney Lane, last Wednesday to help raise £325 for Winchester Young Carers.
The money raised was matched by Basepoint Winchester bringing the total to £650.
The event, organised by Mark Tillison from Tillison Consulting and Tim McMillen from Alniro, also saw the host restaurant donate 20 per cent of the bill to the cause.
A spokesman for Alniro said: "We are passionate about making a difference and welcome an opportunity to help a worthy charity like Winchester Young Carers."
Winchester Young Carers supports over 100 carers across the district with an annual budget of £120,000.
