POLICE are hunting a gang who got away with £55,000 of parts after raiding a lorry storage yard in Nursling.
Thieves stole 20 tachographs, five mirror arms, ten top mirrors, ten bottom mirrors, 14 front grills and 100 batteries during the raid.
Equipment was stripped from brand new and unregistered white Daf trucks stored on Adams Morey Ltd’s premises off Station Road.
Attempts were also made by the thieves to remove the rear lights on the vehicles.
Twenty side windows were smashed to gain access to tachographs inside the lorries.
The gang struck on Thursday night of last week and CCTV footage captured images of white van believed to have been linked with the thefts at the two compounds on the Crescent Industrial Estate.
Adams Morey are DAF agents and started storing the vehicles at the site on October 1.
