WORK is finally set to start on improving the congestion-causing Winnall interchange.
The Highways Agency has announced that work starts on October 28 some two months later than originally planned.
It is due to last six weeks and should result in better traffic flow at the interchange between Easton Lane, the A34, M3 and Spitfire Link.
Businesses in Winnall are getting increasingly frustrated by the delays.
The scheme involves widening Easton Lane into three lanes at the junction and putting in traffic signals, widening the carriageway on the eastern side of the Winnall roundabout to three lanes and realigning the lanes on the southern bridge to accommodate three lanes.
