A WINCHESTER hotel has received a special award for its environmental efforts.
Norton Park, near Sutton Scotney, is one of 21 Qhotels across the country to be awarded gold by Green Tourism Business Scheme Awards as part of the National Sustainable Tourism Certification Programme.
General manager, Tom Fromm, said: “We are committed to having sustainable operations and we strive to reduce the environmental impact of our business activities.
“This accreditation is testament to the commitment everyone has put into making the hotel environmentally friendly.”
Jon Proctor, technical director of Green Tourism said: “QHotels has shown a strong commitment to operating sustainably, demonstrated by the fact that all 21 of their hotels have received a Green Tourism Business Scheme Award.
“We look forward to following their continued success and hearing more about their future eco-friendly initiatives.”
