WINCHESTER students have been strutting the catwalk to raise money for charity.
Form six students from St Swithun’s School organised the event to raise money for their sister school in Uganda as part of a school-wide fundraising campaign.
Organisers Zoe Wilde, Natalie Aldridge and Flora Gossage put together the show to raise over £1,300 for St Katherine’s in northern Uganda, with help from Winchester College boys who were models for the evening.
Over 250 people turned out for the event which saw local artists, Alresford beauty, provide the make-up and Winchester-based hairdresser, Guy Kremer, donate his time to the models’ hair.
Moda Rosa, Cadogan, Boden and Motel Rocks were just some of the designers who lent clothes for the evening while Storm Modelling Agency provided professional advice to the models.
Miss Wild said: “The atmosphere was electric with lots of cheering in support of friends on the catwalk, including the Winchester College boys in their swimming trunks!
“We thoroughly enjoyed organising the event, and hope that we can continue raising more money for such a worthwhile cause through the sale of donated clothes to students over the coming weeks!”
